Welcome to the website of Morningside College at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Morningside College, established in 2006 as a residential college of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, admitted its first cohort of students in 2010. The College draws on the strengths of residential college models developed at institutions such as Cambridge and Yale while also being firmly rooted in the Chinese tradition of the scholarly academy.
Our vision for Morningside College is of a warm and congenial community where students live and share together the joys of learning, discovery, and growth. We aim to help students develop the values, intellectual breadth, and practical skills needed to play leading roles in a wide range of disciplines and professions. Since we believe these goals can best be achieved in an intimate setting, the College is small by design.
Morningside College is distinguished by its commitment to service and intellectual inquiry, distinctly international character, and highly participatory nature. The College aspires to become a model of excellence in the liberal arts tradition of undergraduate education.
