The Morningside Experience

The College can accommodate 300 students. This relatively small size allows for a level of intimacy among students and faculty and a style of learning that is only possible in a small, cohesive community.

As with residential colleges around the world, all Morningside students reside in the College, as does the Master. They are frequently joined at meals by Fellows of the College and distinguished visitors. Dinner speakers from a range of professions and academic disciplines from within the University and the wider world often share their thoughts and experiences. Students also have an opportunity to interact with visitors to the College at seminars and Master’s Teas.

Small classes, community service, international exchanges, and student participation in College affairs are also hallmarks of the Morningside experience. Ultimately, we expect that the experience of being at the College will lead students to a deeper understanding of themselves and how they can each make their own positive impact on the world.
