First Formal Hall of 2026

On Wednesday 28 January, the Morningside College community gathered in the dining hall to enjoy a delicious meal and celebrate the beginning of a new semester at CUHK. The Master of Ceremonies was Jose Manuel Cervantes Sanchez, a Year 2 student majoring in Global Communication. Acting Master of the College Anthony So welcomed the students back and rang the ceremonial gong. A highlight of the Formal Hall dinner was a surprise visit from Professor Nick Rawlins, who shared that he had missed the unique Morningside energy and felt grateful to see familiar faces again.
