Morningsiders Attend a Play Directed by a College Alum

On 6 November, several Morningside students and the Junior Fellow team had an opportunity to see In a Perfect World, a play written by Hong Kong director and Morningside alumnus Jun Li. The play featured a captivating story of three generations of Chinese immigrants living in the same apartment in New York City across the decades, from the early 2000s to an apocalyptic future our world might face. As one of the attendees of the play shared, this creative work is “a radical reimagining of personal and political history of the Chinese American diaspora.” Morningsiders left the play with a lot of food for thought and a hope to enjoy more artistic productions by college alumni.
