Jump Rope World Medalist Hanna Bánheghi Performs at Communal Dinner

Three-time World Medalist jump roper, Hanna Bánheghi of Hungary, and CUHK alumnus jump rope competitor and instructor, Monke Chan, stunned the audience at communal dinner on Thursday night with their performance. Flipping through the air with the rope swinging so fast it would vanish from sight, Hanna displayed how the ordinary practice of jumping rope can be elevated to an art. Monke Chan spent last year travelling the world and teaching rope skipping; he briefly shared about his experiences in Europe and China, and how he has brought people of different cultures together through the joy of jump roping. He invited several Morningside students on stage to participate, and to their own surprise they were performing jump rope tricks in a matter of minutes!
