Students Awarded for their Achievements and Hard Work!

During communal dinner on Wednesday March 20, eight students received awards for their recent achievements.

Lilian Wong (Data Science and Policy Studies) and Nandini Dulani (Medicine) received Morningside Achievement Awards, recognizing excellence in their extracurricular pursuits. Stella Chen (Business Administration), Govini Elvitigala (Chemistry), and Emily Tang (Social Work) received Morningside Service Awards for their commitments to community service and service learning. Suyasha Narasipuram (Medicine) and Islam Zhandaliyev (Law) won Morningside Spirit Awards for their exemplary contributions to Morningside’s college life and community. Arjun Chaddha (Science) received the David Parker General Education Best Essay Prize, in recognition of his well-written final essay for GEMC1001. Dean of Students Professor Colin Graham exhorted the rest of the student body to take inspiration from these awardees, and to think of how they may also excel in any of these varied ways. Along with being an awardee, Islam Zhandaliyev was the Master of Ceremonies for this event.
