Not Just a Selfie: Inquiries of the Present Exhibition
The College hosted its first ever student artwork exhibition in February and March. Curated by Junior Fellow Juliet Levesque, the exhibition provided a space for students to display a variety of creative endeavours, from photography and digital art to craftwork and painting.
Like the photography competition, “Not Just a Selfie” was also inspired by this year’s One Book Programme selection Are You Enjoying? by Mira Sethi. The title of the exhibition drew on the book’s use of literary portraits to explore temporality and identity in contemporary Pakistan. An e-copy of Are You Enjoying? is available via the University Library and artwork from the exhibit can be viewed in the “Student Voices” blog.
