Author Jason Y. Ng Visits Morningside in the Term's First Writers Series Event

The College hosted its first Writers Series event of the year on Friday 10 October. Jason Y. Ng, South China Morning Post journalist and author of Hong Kong State of Mind and No City for Slow Men, visited Morningside to talk about his first blog and its development into two books and a full-time writing career. Students asked Mr Ng all about his works and were particularly interested in his experiences reporting on Occupy Central for SCMP. Mr Ng brought gifts for the Journalism majors and six lucky students won a signed copy of his newest book.

Each term, Morningside brings in one or two authors for the Series, giving students the chance to talk intimately with professionals about their career and the writing process.
