Celebrating the Class of 2017 at the 83rd Congregation Graduation Luncheon

At last Thursday’s graduation luncheon, Morningside celebrated the Class of 2017! The ceremony began with an address by College Master Professor Sir James Mirrlees, who congratulated the students and welcomed their families into our community. Prof. Mirrlees spoke on Morningside’s diversity of nationality, language, and thought. He encouraged students to keep up the spirit of Morningside after graduation by continuing to serve their community and pursue knowledge. Two student speakers represented the Class of 2017: Hu Yaxin and Neo Chong. Both reflected on their experiences at Morningside, from joining in on cultural activities and study sessions with friends to the depth and significance of the College General Education experience.
