Fellow Anthony So receives Vice-Chancellor’s Exemplary Teaching Award

Morningside Fellow Anthony Man-Cho So, Associate Professor in the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management, has been awarded a Vice Chancellor’s Exemplary Teaching Award in recognition of his outstanding classroom teaching and mentoring of students in 2013. This is the fourth teaching award Professor So has received in five years. He was also a recipient of a 2010 CUHK Young Researcher Award.

 

Professor So’s recent research focuses on the interplay between optimization theory and various areas of algorithm design.  He received his BSE degree in Computer Science from Princeton University (2000) with minors in Applied and Computational Mathematics, Engineering and Management Systems, and German Language and Culture, and his MSc (2002) and PhD in Computer Science with a PhD minor in Mathematics (2007) from Stanford University.
