Morningsiders experience UK non-profits first-hand at the University of York

2017年726日

Students recently returned from the United Kingdom after participating in a two-week program on local service organizations and non-profits at the University of York. As part of the Morningside General Education Program GEMC 3001 course, the trip offers an intimate look into social issues present in contemporary English society through meetings with local experts and NGO staff. Morningsiders were also allowed on-site visits to English social organizations including a food bank and an innovative “open-prison.” This is third year Morningside has worked with the University of York on this unique program, and we hope to continue with this great learning experience into the future.
