Food and Games at Morningside’s Cultural Fair
2025年2月21日
Morningside’s patio was alive with music and festivities on Friday 21 February as the MC Student Union hosted its third annual Cultural Fair. Celebrating the diversity of Morningside’s student body, booths were hosted by students from Brazil, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mexico, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Venezuela, attracting visitors from across CUHK’s nine colleges.
Morningside exchange student Carlos Rangel tested visitors at his booth on their knowledge about Latin America, while at the Indonesia booth a game of makan kerupuk—where contestants attempt to eat crackers dangling from a clothesline—amused many spectators. At the Japan booth, takoyaki was being freshly prepared for lines of eagerly waiting students. Beyond the food and games, a number of bands and solo performances took the stage throughout the three-hour-long fair, entertaining the crowd with everything from Thai radio hits to nostalgic Kyrgyz lullabies. Thank you to the MC Student Union and all the participating students for this successful event!
