Exchange

The College has developed a number of exchange programmes with overseas institutions and will try to facilitate international experiences for as many students as possible.

Each year, in early/mid-October, College exchange programme details will be announced through weekly notices. Morningsiders may participate in two types of College student exchange programmes:

College-based Exchanges

These are exchanges open only to Morningside students.

University-wide Exchanges

These are exchanges administrated by the University’s Office of Academic Links (OAL) and reserved quotas to Morningside students.

In addition, the University has established exchange relationships with over 200 institutions overseas. These exchange opportunities are open to all students in the University, which Morningside students need to compete with other CUHK students to be selected to participate. For deatils about these programmes, application procedures and application deadlines, please refer to OAL's webpage.

Note:

Students need to submit separate applications to OAL and the College if they are interested in being considered for exchanges administered by each unit.
Some financial aid is available from both the College and the University to help defray expenses such as airfare, accommodation and living expenses. (N.B. Students going on exchange pay standard CUHK tuition, not the tuition of the overseas institution.)

* In the programme descriptions, FTE stands for “Full-Time Equivalent”. One FTE is equal to one student for a full academic year or two students for one semester each.
