Morningside College was established in 2006 with a generous and imaginative founding donation from the Morningside Foundation and the Morningside Education Foundation. 

Other funding partners of the College include The Starr Foundation of New York, the Si Yuan Foundation of Hong Kong, and other interested friends of the College.

"Higher education should not be concerned only with the transmission of knowledge.  At Morningside College, we seek to nurture the intellect of students who are all too accustomed to being asked merely to proffer text-book answers. We want students to be prepared for the future they will face by being guided to think logically, critically and creatively."
