Morningsiders Perfect their Résumés at Résumé Workshop

On Saturday 26 January, 14 Morningsiders learned the ins and outs of résumés at the College’s first Résumé Writing Workshop. Natalie Evie, who runs her own consulting company and has more than a decade of corporate training experience, returned to campus to work with students.
The three-hour workshop was a primer on how to write an effective résumé. There was a special focus on analysing job descriptions and how to use résumés to highlight achievements. Students also received insight on what the job search process looks like from the interviewer’s side, which helped them understand which résumés are accepted or rejected. Several students had the opportunity to use their résumés as samples, and all gained valuable insight into how to perfect their pitch.
