Dinner and a Show at Music Night

Our spirited Music Community was on full display on Thursday 21 November, during the first Music Night of the academic year. After communal dinner was served, five bands took to the stage and performed a diverse range of music, from K-Pop to Coldplay. The music continued long after dinner ended, with students sticking around to watch their fellow Morningside musicians and enjoy the tunes.

Some bands were performing for the first time, while others, like CDLEGS, were well-seasoned fan favorites. Joyce Lee, a Resident Tutor at Morningside and second year PhD student, performed an excellent rendition of Adele’s “All I Ask” accompanied by Tan Hou Yuan (Translation, Year 5) on the piano. Exchange students Carlos Rangel Outeda and Marit Shaw joined in on the energetic night as part of the band Leftovers with their Morningside peers.
