Writers Series: Chi Ta-Wei's Talk on LGBTQ and Modern Chinese Literature

On 10 November, renowned novelist Chi Ta-Wei discussed examples of LGBT lives in various works of modern Chinese literature, including Pai Hsien-Yung's Crystal Boys and Qiu Miaojin's Notes of a Crocodile and Last Words from Montmartre. Collaborating with the Hong Kong International Literary Festival (HKILF), Morningsiders were able to join in on a Chi Ta-Wei's talk. Participants in the talk were entered in a raffle to win either a copy of Chi Ta-Wei's book The Membranes, which was recently translated to english by Ari Larissa Heinrich, or another book mentioned in the talk.
