On 2 March, during the GE Best Essay Awards Ceremony, three Morningsiders were recognized for essays written in the General Education Programme. Year 2 student Marco Hui earned the Gold Award for his paper, "Harm Principle and Marx". Year 2 student Joyce Chung earned the Silver Award for her essay, "An Open Letter to Undergraduate Students at My University: My Journey in Search of Hope". Year 2 student Maksim Chan earned a Bronze Award for his essay, "How Does Science Address the Question of "Divinity of Humans"?"
