On 23 February, Natalie Evie, who runs her own consulting company and has more than a decade of corporate training experience, returned to Morningside to teach professional interview skills to 21 students.

She began by reminding students that the interview begins before the interviewee walks into the room, and highlighted the importance of preparation and research. She finished by addressing how to answer difficult questions such as “what are your biggest weaknesses?” and “tell me about yourself”. Here, students learned how to answer honestly without diverting attention from their skillset.

Students walked away from the workshop with a better understanding of not only how to act in an interview, but how to use the interview to discover whether the job is the right fit for their interests.
