Morningsider Jason Cheung Hei Yin (Bachelor of Laws) was awarded the HSBC Greater Bay Area Scholarship in July 2022. Along with a financial prize, the scholarship also includes mentorship from HSBC executives and other leaders in the finance sector across the Greater Bay Area (GBA), as well as exchange tours.

Jason remarked that this scholarship fits into his long-held aspirations to work in government and serve the Hong Kong public. His recent Administrative Officer internship with the government helped him understand Hong Kong's cooperation with GBA cities, and how the city is being integrated into national development. He appreciates the funding and networking opportunities afforded by the scholarship, for bringing him closer to actualising his career plans. He encourages other students to apply for this scholarship, and urges them to be genuine and to be prepared to discuss their backgrounds and goals.
